Overview
Next Generation of the Luna tactical unmanned aerial system, providing German Army brigade and battalion commanders with organic real-time reconnaissance and surveillance. The Luna NG features an improved airframe with extended endurance of up to 12 hours, maximum altitude of 5,000 metres, and operational radius of 100 km. Carries modular payloads including EO/IR cameras, multispectral sensors, and SIGINT equipment. Launched via pneumatic catapult and recovered by automatic parachute landing or skid. Fully integrated into the German Army's battle management system for real-time intelligence dissemination. The system has been extensively deployed on overseas operations including Afghanistan and Mali.
