The Kumsong-3 is North Korea's primary anti-ship cruise missile, developed as a derivative of the Russian Kh-35 Uran (NATO: AS-20 Kayak). Unveiled in 2017, it uses a sea-skimming flight profile to minimize detection time. The system can be launched from shore-based batteries, surface vessels, and potentially helicopters.
