Overview
The KDX-III Sejong the Great class is South Korea most powerful surface combatant, equipped with the Aegis Combat System and 128-cell vertical launch system, more VLS cells than any current destroyer. It provides fleet air defense, ballistic missile defense, and multi-mission capability. Named after the historical King Sejong the Great, it is the centerpiece of South Korea blue-water navy.
