Overview
Multi-calibre multiple launch rocket system capable of firing 131mm (20-round pod), 227mm (6-round pod), and 239mm (4-round pod) guided rockets as well as the CTM-290 (290mm) tactical ballistic missile from a single modular launcher. The K239 represents a generational advance over traditional MLRS by combining rapid pod-swap modularity with precision guidance. The 239mm guided rockets feature GPS/INS guidance with a range of 80 km, while the CTM-290 reaches 290 km. The system includes an integrated fire control computer, automatic laying, and autonomous resupply via the K10 automatic ammunition resupply vehicle. Mounted on a Hanwha 8x8 tactical truck. Poland ordered 288 Chunmoo launchers (the K239PL variant), making it one of the largest artillery export deals. South Korea plans to deploy Chunmoo as the primary deep fires system.
