Poland operates 20 M142 HIMARS launchers delivered from 2023, with additional systems on order. The HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) is mounted on a FMTV 6×6 truck chassis and fires a single pod of 6× M31 GMLRS (Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System) rockets to 70 km with GPS/INS guidance, or a single MGM-140 ATACMS tactical ballistic missile to 300 km. The PrSM (Precision Strike Missile) will extend range to 499+ km. Combat-proven devastatingly effective in Ukraine. Poland's HIMARS fleet provides deep precision fires against Russian logistics, command nodes, and air defence assets. C-130 transportability allows pre-positioning across the NATO eastern flank.
