Overview
The Barak 8 (also known as LRSAM/MRSAM) is an advanced long-range surface-to-air missile system jointly developed by Israel Aerospace Industries and India DRDO. It provides wide-area air defense against aircraft, cruise missiles, and UAVs from both naval and land-based platforms. The missile uses active radar homing and is guided by an EL/M-2248 MF-STAR AESA radar.
