Overview
The Azmat class is a class of fast attack missile craft built domestically at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW). The lead vessel PNS Azmat was commissioned 2012 with further units following. The class displaces approximately 560 tonnes full load and achieves speeds exceeding 38 knots. Armed with 4x C-802A anti-ship missiles providing an over-the-horizon strike capability, it supplements the frigate fleet in coastal/littoral operations. The Azmat class represents Pakistan's most significant indigenously-constructed naval surface combatant.
