Overview
Next-generation heavy infantry fighting vehicle designed by Hanwha Defense, selected by Australia for the LAND 400 Phase 3 programme (129 vehicles worth A$7.3 billion). Features the Elbit Systems UT30MK2 unmanned turret with ATK Mk44 Bushmaster II 30mm chain gun, Spike LR2 anti-tank missiles, and a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun. The crew and 8 dismounts are protected to STANAG 4569 Level 6 with additional modular armour and integrated Rafael Iron Fist Light active protection system (APS) — one of the first IFVs to feature APS as standard. Weight of approximately 42 tonnes with a 1,000 hp powerpack providing 65 km/h road speed. Advanced digital architecture with 360-degree situational awareness using distributed cameras and AI-assisted threat detection. Also being offered for the South Korean NIFV programme.
