Overview
The Arrow 3 is an exo-atmospheric anti-ballistic missile interceptor forming the upper tier of Israel's multi-layered missile defense. It destroys incoming ballistic missiles in space during the mid-course phase, far from Israeli territory. Using a hit-to-kill kinetic warhead at hypersonic speeds, it can engage threats at altitudes above 100 km. Germany has also ordered the Arrow 3 system for its national defense.
