Overview
Long-range evolution of the Akeron family designed to provide a beyond-line-of-sight precision strike capability at ranges exceeding 25 km. Intended to bridge the gap between the Akeron MP (4 km) and cruise missiles like SCALP. Features a turbojet propulsion system, multi-effect warhead options (anti-armour, penetration, blast-fragmentation), datalink for man-in-the-loop control, and advanced autonomous target recognition using AI. Designed for launch from vehicles, helicopters, and potentially naval platforms. Part of MBDA's "Future Land Deep Strike" capability portfolio. Development contract awarded with operational capability expected in the late 2020s.
