Overview
Japan is building 2 dedicated Aegis System Equipped Vessels (ASEV) after cancelling fixed Aegis Ashore sites. Equipped with the SPY-7 GaN AESA radar and SM-3 Block IIA, they provide mobile BMD coverage and are expected to deliver around 2027-28.
