Russia Sarmat ICBM Test

Strategic missile completes development flight test from Plesetsk.

Russia has conducted another test launch of the RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile from Plesetsk Cosmodrome. The Sarmat is designed to replace the aging R-36M2 Voevoda as Russias primary silo-based nuclear deterrent. The heavy ICBM carries multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles.
