China's People's Liberation Army Navy has officially commissioned the Type 003 aircraft carrier Fujian, equipped with an electromagnetic aircraft launch system. The carrier represents a significant qualitative leap in Chinese naval aviation capability and power projection.

INTELLIGENCE ASSESSMENT: The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) has officially commissioned the CNS Fujian (CV-18), China's third aircraft carrier and its most advanced naval platform to date. The Fujian represents a generational leap in Chinese carrier aviation, featuring electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS) technology and a displacement exceeding 80,000 tons.

Unlike its predecessors, the Liaoning and Shandong, which utilize ski-jump launch configurations, the Fujian employs a flat-deck design with three electromagnetic catapults.
