Iranian military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari publicly mocked Washington's bid for a ceasefire agreement on Wednesday. His scorn cast doubt on the viability of a 15-point plan the US, through intermediaries, submitted to Tehran. The Iranian spokesman's comments undermine US diplomatic initiatives just as regional conflict risks escalate.

The Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which controls Iran's conventional forces and the Revolutionary Guard, oversees Iran's strategic military posture.
