Supersonic cruise missile achieves longer range in development test.

India has conducted a successful test of an extended range variant of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. The weapon retains its Mach 2.8 speed while achieving substantially greater reach. Defense officials noted the extended range variant will be integrated across multiple platforms.
