The British Army has secured 37 RCH 155 artillery weapon systems via a £52 million contract awarded through the Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR). The contract was granted to ARTEC GmbH, the consortium behind the RCH 155 development. This procurement aims to replace older artillery assets and upgrade the UK’s fire support capabilities.

The RCH 155 is an advanced, highly mobile self-propelled artillery system co-developed by Germany and France, featuring a 155mm gun optimized for precision and range. Its integration into British forces represents a strategic pivot toward interoperable NATO artillery systems.
