Beijing Official Tours Greater Bay Area to Accelerate Hong Kong Integration

Beijing's top Hong Kong and Macau official completed a five-day trip to Greater Bay Area cities to push the integration of Hong Kong into mainland China's national development plans. Beijing's senior official Xia Baolong ended a five-day inspection tour across Guangzhou, Zhaoqing, and Foshan aimed at accelerating Hong Kong's integration into mainland China. The mission, conducted from Monday through Friday, involved discussions with local officials and stakeholders from both the mainland and Hong Kong sectors. The visit underscores Beijing's intent to embed Hong Kong more deeply into the economic and governance framework of the Greater Bay Area.
