About TÜBİTAK SAGE

TÜBİTAK SAGE (Defense Industries Research and Development Institute) is Turkey's primary defense R&D institution driving the guided munitions indigenization program. SAGE developed the HGK GPS-guided bomb kit, KGK glide kit, Cirit 70mm laser-guided rocket (key weapon of the Bayraktar TB2), MAM-C and MAM-L smart micro munitions (the primary armament of TB2 UCAVs), and the SOM cruise missile family. SAGE also created the Bozok laser-guided rocket and TOLUN cluster munition. Together with Roketsan, SAGE has transformed Turkish military into a guided-munitions capable force with high indigenous content.
