About Mikoyan (MiG)
The Mikoyan Aircraft Corporation (RAC MiG), part of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), is one of Russia's historic fighter design bureaus. Founded by Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich, MiG produced the MiG-15 (Korean War), MiG-17, MiG-21 (most produced supersonic jet fighter, 11,000+ built), MiG-23, MiG-25 Foxbat, MiG-29 Fulcrum, and MiG-31 Foxhound. The MiG-29 remains in widespread service across Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Current program is the MiG-35 (4++ generation).
