Mandiant is an American cybersecurity company acquired by Google LLC in 2022 for $5.4 billion and now operating as part of Google Cloud. Founded in 2004 by Kevin Mandia, the company is globally recognized for advanced persistent threat (APT) attribution, incident response, and cyber threat intelligence. Mandiant's threat intelligence unit identified and named major nation-state hacking groups including APT1 (China's PLA Unit 61398), APT28/Fancy Bear (Russian GRU), APT29/Cozy Bear (Russian SVR), and APT33 (Iranian IRGC).
