About Hellenic Shipyards

Hellenic Shipyards S.A. (Ellenika Nafpigeia) is one of the largest shipbuilding and ship repair companies in the Eastern Mediterranean, located at Skaramangas near Athens. The yard has a long history of both commercial and naval construction and maintenance. For the Hellenic Navy, Hellenic Shipyards performed modernisation and extended maintenance on the Elli-class frigates (ex-Knox-class) and supported the construction and fitting-out of the Type 214HN submarines. The yard has also built vessels for commercial operators and conducted major overhauls of Hellenic Navy surface combatants.
